Our Comfrey Root are harvested after rain when the mucilage content is at it’s highest, and only the root is used.
The washed, sliced roots are then shade dried and open stored whole.
The dried root will last for several years but tincture of the root will last much longer.
We have found that tincture is the best way to keep this herb available for us to use at those times when time is important.
It doesn’t photograph well, or even look slightly attractive, but it works a treat.
This quantity of herb will produce 200ml of active tincture.
All of our plant material, is grown here on our farm in the Mary Valley, Queensland, in a completely organic, pesticide & herbicide free manner, harvested by hand and dried and stored and packed on the premises.
